About our MERCANTILE and GREENHOUSE GROCER
The Fieldhouse Collective was started with the intension to be more mindful of what we are adding into the world, and developing ways we can be more sustainable and recycle what is already out there. Our first project was to restore my mother’s (Cynthia Fieldhouse) antique furniture cabinet. The hidden aged and stained wood started to shine as we stripped and sanded it back to life, showcasing its own history through flaws and character. As our interests grew, we started to offer “made-to-order” textile goods to maintain sustainability and only make what was needed. We started to realize it was a way of life not just a way to fill your home. What makes a home feel like “home”, is also what we cook in our kitchen and how we treat our bodies.
We started the Greenhouse Grocer to bring fresh organic vegetables and fruit to our community. Not only do we want those we care about to have access to organic, all natural foods, we want to shed light on their health benefits too. We hope this stems our friends and family to deep dive in herbal and food medicine, how to stay healthy and not to rely on the pharmaceutical industry. As we continuously dug into our ancestral knowledge of food benefits, we found a love and benefit of growing our own delicious fresh vegetables and herbs. We want to share this with our community to help support you and your families, and bring awareness into what is in your kitchens and in your bellies. There are so many natural healing benefits to fresh picked, organic vegetables, herbs, and teas. We look forward to you exploring this journey with us as we expanded into additional goods to bring to your homes.
